How it works
Paste a competitor's Shopify domain. Shop Sentry automatically discovers every product, variant and price - no product URLs to paste, no selectors to configure.
From there it re-checks on a schedule (hourly on paid plans) and compares each check against the last known state. When a price changes, you get an alert with the old and new value; nothing lands in your inbox when nothing changed.
Because Shop Sentry reads the store's structured product data rather than screenshotting a page, a real price change is never confused with a layout or banner tweak.
Alerts, not auto-repricing
Shop Sentry is deliberately a monitor, not a repricer. It never touches your own prices - it tells you what a competitor did and leaves the decision to you. That's what most Shopify sellers actually want: awareness and control, not a bot quietly changing their margins.
A concrete example. A competitor drops their hero product from $135 → $98 on a Friday afternoon. On an hourly plan you get an alert within the hour, naming the product, the exact variant, and the change. How often does it check prices?
The free plan checks once a day; Pro and Agency check every hour, so you catch same-day price moves and flash sales instead of finding out the next morning.
Does it understand sale prices?
Yes. Shop Sentry reads both the live price and the compare-at (the struck-through 'was' price), so you can tell a genuine markdown from a change to the list price.
Can I track a single product instead of a whole store?
Both work. Add a competitor's domain to watch their entire catalog, or paste one product URL to watch just that item and its variants.
Do I need to install anything on the competitor's store?
No. Shop Sentry only reads the public product data a Shopify storefront already publishes, so there is no app to install and no API key to request. You paste a domain and monitoring begins.
How will I be notified?
By email on every plan, and by Telegram on Pro and Agency. Each alert names the product and variant and shows the exact old and new price.
Will Shop Sentry change my prices automatically?
No. It's a monitor, not a repricer - it alerts you to competitors' changes and keeps the full history, but never touches your own prices. Every pricing decision stays yours.
